About the event
Dr Nicola Andrew: “ Using photo elicitation in research on deprescribing for people with dementia or mild cognitive impairment”
Nicola is a Research Fellow in the Ageing and Dementia Research Group within the School of Health Sciences at the University of Southampton, working on NIHR Applied Research Collaboration Wessex studies. She is a registered nurse, with a background in end-of-life care, frailty and quality improvement work in care home and domiciliary care settings. Her research interests focus on care for older people living with frailty and dementia, in particular end-of-life care and person-centred approaches.
Dr Nicola Shaw : "Now I have a future": Adult perspectives and experiences of health status and adherence post CFTR modulator therapy.
Nicola is a specialist cystic fibrosis pharmacist and is currently undertaking a NIHR/HEE (ICA) Clinical Doctoral Research Fellowship. She is currently in the third year as a research postgraduate within the School of Healthcare, University of Leeds where she is undertaking a PhD to develop a patient-centred intervention to support adherence to oral medication in the person with cystic fibrosis.
Her research interests lie in behaviour change, photo elicitation, co-design and participatory action research.
